Can you believe Azalea has been with the SPCA since April of 2017? She was just four months old then. Like any puppy, Azalea needed to learn adult dog manners, but she is deaf, so that makes training Azalea different from training most other puppies. She waited at the adoption center for the right person to come along and take her home, but still hasn’t met that special someone.
Azalea is now one year old. She is living in a foster home and has turned into a beautiful, playful adult dog. Her foster mom taught her manners and hand signals. Now Azalea needs to find someone who is an experienced dog owner who likes to stay busy. Azalea loves to play fetch and play with other dogs (as long as they can keep up). Long walks are another favorite pastime.
Azalea is crate-trained and living with two canine foster siblings. If you’re interested in meeting her, call the adoption center at 919-772-2326 or visit SPCAwake.org for more information. (Animal ID A084541)
