Jeanne Jolly – Jeanne Jolly’s artistry encompasses the heartfelt confessional quality of the singer-songwriter tradition, the earthiness of American roots music, a hint of jazz sophistication, and the smoldering emotionality of soul balladry. Playing at The ArtsCenter in Carrboro on Friday night.
Dixie Deer Classic – Friday through Sunday at NC State Fairgrounds. There will be a scavenger hunt, free door prizes, live snakes, raptors and wolves, the Carolina DockDogs jumping competition and more. Children ages 12 and under are admitted free. Ticket prices are $12 for adults.

Wake Forest Mardi Gras Street Festival – The Wake Forest Mardi Gras Street Festival invites area residents to visit the heart of Wake Forest and experience all our downtown has to offer. The fun starts at 11 in downtown Wake Forest and runs through 3 p.m. The event includes a walking parade, face painting, live music, and costume contests. Admission is free.
Fabulous Fakes Las Vegas Review – Legends features Illusions of famous musical entertainers like Pink, Madonna, Michael Jackson, and Garth Brooks. Shows are at 7 p.m. and 9 p.m. every Saturday in March.
Durham Bulls Fan Fest – The free event provides fans a chance to take batting practice on the field, purchase single-game tickets for the 2019 season and take photos with the Governors’ Cup trophy. Saturday starting at 5 p.m. at the Durham Bulls Athletic Park.
Cypress Hill and Hollywood Undead – at The Ritz in Raleigh Saturday night.
Smart Start 25th Anniversary Gala w/ special guest Dolly Parton – Dolly Parton headlines Saturday night’s Gala to honor Smart Start’s 25 years of work providing early education funding to the state’s 100 counties. All at Marbles Kids Museum. General admission tickets are $125.
