October 26th is DEA National Take Back Day from 10.m. to 2 p.m. DEA’s National Prescription Drug Take Back Day reflects DEA’s commitment to Americans’ safety and health, encouraging the public to remove unneeded medications from their homes as a measure of preventing medication misuse and opioid addiction from ever starting. That’s why 96.1 BBB is once again partnering with the Cary PD who echoes the DEA’s commitment to making our communities safer and healthier.
This past April, our initiative helped our local law enforcement collect 336.4 lbs. of medicine! To date, 18,570,487 lbs. (9,285 tons) have been collected through the 25 years of the DEA’s initiative.
96.1BBB will be on location at the Cary Police Station at 120 Wilkinson Ave in Cary from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., and our very own Madison will be there from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Come join as we work together to do our part and turn in unneeded medications and remove them from potential harm to assist the DEA doing their part to further reduce drug-related violence!
