Sister to Sister Empowerment Summit: 8:30am – 12:30pm Resource Booths will be available in the lobby. Our goal is to offer resources and opportunities to help improve their health and well-being. Our aim is to influence productive decision making in their homes, communities and connect them to networks for support. Sister to Sister is a group of approximately 15 successful women who will share their expertise, skills, knowledge, resources and personal experiences to assits struggling young Mothers for one whole year. The Sister to Sister group will help these young women develop sustainable change for themselves, their family and their community. The Summit is open to the public, to attend the Summit workshop sessions you must have a ticket.

3PM – “POWER OF WORDS” Poetry Slam, hosted by; Dasan Ahanu; 

The “Power of Words Poetry Slam” is an exciting part of the Campaign4Change Mega Eventure. The POWS brings together the areas best poets to participate in a unique poetic completion unlike any other you will find. With themed rounds, this event displays not only the poets skill and creativity, but also their dexterity. Each poet is there to uplift, inspire, and challenge the audience while also showing them the power of words! This year’s slam will be the first POWS all women’s slam spotlighting and showcasing the voices of women.

 

8PM – “Ridin wit’ Joe Crack” Stage Production: written and produced by; Vegas Don                                         

Campaign4Change(C4C) presents it’s breathtaking, stimulating, mind- blowing stage production. Entering its 14th year of production in 2017, Campaign4Change incorporates todays top music hits, live performances by professional recording artists, spoken word. The production is a captivating two-hour drama based on the personal life experiences of former gang leader and ex-drug dealer turned anti- crime advocate Mr. Otis Lyons, aka Vegas Don.
